Electric Snoopy

I’m a Sedona-based artist, creating contemporary southwest Sedona landscape paintings in modern abstract style. I recently painted a vivid, mysticall sky for Snoopy Rock, titled Electric Snoopy, resulting in more amazing contemporary Sedona art prints.

Snoopy is Charlie Brown‘s pet beagle in the comic strip Peanuts by Charles M. Schulz. Found in all of the Peanuts movies and television specials, The Peanuts Movie. Since his debut on October 4, 1950, he has become one of the most recognizable and iconic characters. The original drawings of Snoopy were inspired by Spike, one of Schulz’s childhood dogs. So, I created this Sedona landscape painting of Snoopy Rock. Of course, I had NO IDEA how many visitors would buy this image. I quickly found out that this would be a big seller in metal minis and canvas prints. Kids and adults alike love this whimsical Sedona art print.

Sedona has no shortage of rock formations. With names like Thunder Mountain, Ship Rock, Bell Rock, Castle Rock, Coffee Pot Rock, Chimney Rock, Steamship Rock, and Gunsight Rock, to name a few.

Amazingly Snoopy Rock

Best seen from Sound Bites Grill at the Shops at Hyatt Pinon Pointe. Sound Bites offers live music & dancing, highlighting this American restaurant with panoramic red rock views.  Amazingly, Snoopy Rock looks like Snoopy lying on his back, on top of his doghouse, with Woodstock on his nose!
