Prism Sky – New Inspiration

Since licensing my art to Warner Bros., As a  contemporary Sedona artist, I’ve been looking to develop a specialized niche in this crazy world to utilize my vibrant color palette, for which I’m famous. That’s when I came upon an offer for a “Modern Abstract” workshop here in Sedona. And that is how this southwest desert landscape, “Prism Sky,” came about.

How Sedona Art Is Inspired

First came “Inspired,” which I painted in class here in Sedona, where I learned my new stylized technique of creating Sedona Landscape Paintings. Next came “Bryce Canyon,“ a National Park in southern Utah. The title “Sweet Dreams” of my next contemporary Sedona Landscape was from the contest I did asking the public to name it and offering a free 20×30 Sedona art print as a canvas gallery-wrap Giclée for the winning name, and now “Prism Sky.”

Prism Sky – Sedona Landscape Art

“Prism Sky” is the 10th in a series of my latest southwest landscape paintings called “Vivid Mystical Landscapes.” As you look into this vast Sedona desert landscape, you’ll see a rock formation known as “Gibraltar,” which is part of “Mermaid Rock,” located just beyond the most popular vortex site in Sedona, “Bell Rock.” The sky reflects the incredible energy of this area. Sedona Desert Landscape

Most of my inspiration comes from this whimsical desert landscape of Sedona and its named rock formations. As seen from “Sedona’s Crescent Moon Ranch,” Cathedral Rock is the single most photographed place in Arizona.
