Transient Sky
Southwest Art is what I do. So, I wanted to put some real color in this landscape painting, Transient Sky. Using my creative license, and in this instance, I did it to create Transient Sky. That’s when I handpainted a new watercolor purple sky. Once I did that, I used photoshop to move everything in this painting. Except for the sky over to the fresh purple atmosphere. As it happens, this wall art landscape painting is available as a canvas print too!
Monument Valley
When I created this watercolor Transient Sky, the original background was a stand of trees. However, I decided to put Monument Valley in the setting, which is a truly spiritual place. I visited this iconic location, painted a 10′ x 3′ version of it (offered as a canvas print), and was drawn to using it in many wall art creations. Monument Valley attracted many Hollywood film crews to it. Great and memorable cinematic productions have frequently graced the Navajo Nation. Monument Valley, which, thanks to director John Ford, became the familiar backdrop for the American western genre. Monument Valley isn’t only for dusty cowboy movies. In essence, it’s also appeared in science-fiction flicks, contemporary action movies, and even comedies. To see a different version of this painting, click here.
Valley Of A Tributary
Taos, New Mexico, is located in a valley of a tributary of the Rio Grande and is approximately 7,600 feet. Taos was where the Indians built their teepees, Wagons, and Palapa’s depicted in my painting. All are authentic and located in the Taos Valley.
